What is Who's Round?

We have an ambitious, albeit slightly unrealistic, dream, vision and obsession to revolutionise the service you and I receive in our favourite restaurants and bars.

In the age of smartphones, where we can get amazing food and drink delivered to our sofas in 15 minutes, why can’t we get the same delivered 15 yards to our table in a restaurant or bar? 

This is what Who’s Round hopes to change. With our app you can find bars and restaurants in your area, view menus, order pay and have everything delivered to your table or ready to collect. Wont that be great? No more waiting to be served, being ignored at the bar, awkwardly asking for the bill or forgetting the order when leaving the table.

But Seriously, Why?

Providing our inspiration for Who’s Round? getting a round of drinks in the pub is a wonderfully British tradition dating back centuries.  However, the process is pretty much unchanged from those dark ages, when patrons would arrive on horseback in scenes reminiscent of an Inn in Game of Thrones. 

Card payments have helped but a technological advance is sadly still missing, despite making everything else in life simpler and easier. In bars, for example, us Brits are still subject to complex, stressful and strict procedures and responsibilities in the act of buying a round; very well summed up by this rather brilliant WikiHow. If you are not a bar goer, fine, but we bet in restaurants like us you still order drinks, food and pay bills at the time of the waiters choosing, rarely when you want and almost always when you can’t. 

So, we created Who’s Round in a bid to eradicate such tragic first world problems, and have also added a few extra features we think you might find useful. For example, a search of local bars and restaurants, ratings and menu images so you can say goodbye to food envy! 

How will we do it?

Think of Who’s Round as an eBay of the high street. Any restaurant, bar or similar establishment can sign up for free in just a few minutes and create an online store. After adding information about their venue and uploading a menu everything will appear in a unique online store instantly for your viewing. 

You can find the store on your desktop or mobile browser, or even better via our app through a location search. If a venue allows it, you can order food, drinks or anything else on offer and choose to pay online or in cash upon collection. You can then sit back, relax and enjoy your visit whist we send your order to the venue who can quickly bring your round to your table.

We kindly request your help by asking you to demand your local bars begin offering table service, favourite restaurants order online and every venue accept mobile payments; venues must work around you, not you around them.
